Two (Too) Dee(a)r(s)

We went for a walk the other evening and saw quite a few deer. I love to watch them in the field when they aren't aware of our presence yet. It seems that their sight isn't that great; they have to smell us. Then the ears go up, they hold really still, then often jump away with their white tail in the air. It is a beautiful, peaceful moment before they run and jump. It is the connection between human and beast. I am here; you are here; we are here.
