Antler Magazine

As my eyes cross from surfing new blogs, I came across a really cool indie magazine called Antler. It is full of fashion, art, and beautiful people. Check it out here.

Another Mail Art Card

Here is another card I've created. I like alphabets. What is your favorite way to incorporate letters into your art?

Mail Art Card

Here is a post card that I created to some day send as Mail Art. I love using rubber stamps, collage bits and funky tape in my work!

Mail Art is Good

My obsession this afternoon and evening is all about Mail Art. There is a cool exhibit at MCBA right now. I took a few sneaky pictures, since when I was there, the exhibit was closed.
A great new release for mail art eye candy is Good Mail Day. ref=sib_dp_pt.jpg
Would you like to exchange some mail art? Send me an email message courageouslycreating@gmail.com

I Am Going Coo Coo for Sassafras Lass

I have been drooling over the new Sassafras Lass line of paper ever since someone in blogland pointed it out to me. If you haven't yet seen it, go here RIGHT NOW! The Monstrosity, Sweet Marmalade, and Amplify are the ones I am crazy for.
I went to Archiver's last night and got to see, touch, smell, (and buy) some of the paper in person. Oh what a treat!
After my paper fix, I went to my Visual Journal Collective meeting facilitated by Roz Stendahl. We watched the dvd for the 1000 Journals Project. If you don't know what this is, check it out here.
Here is just a taste of one of the Sassafras papers.

Studio Clean Up

Today my husband and I are working on creating space for ourselves in the "studio area" of the house. There is a lot to do. We will be so happy when it is complete though.

My New Blog

Hi Everyone,
I am starting another blog. This second blog will have a more specific focus, as I work toward developing my own business. What I love besides teaching children, is teaching adults. I hope to inspire the creative artist inside you with Holistic Creative Arts. Come by and leave me a comment!
Thanks,
Briana

Fawn

Two (Too) Dee(a)r(s)

We went for a walk the other evening and saw quite a few deer. I love to watch them in the field when they aren't aware of our presence yet. It seems that their sight isn't that great; they have to smell us. Then the ears go up, they hold really still, then often jump away with their white tail in the air. It is a beautiful, peaceful moment before they run and jump. It is the connection between human and beast. I am here; you are here; we are here.

Making My Way

On the Road-(Driving HOme):;!

I can't express enough how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life. I cherish my family and friends so much. Sometimes it amazes me how I got to where I am, to what I have. I am also so grateful for having the opportunity to take a road trip. Everything was awesome; no trouble; not even construction traffic. It was truly a blissful weekend. I even went sailing for the first time! This was on a very windy and chilly day, too. All in all, it was still great! Now I am home. I am "clicking" again, and still trying to hold onto the valuable lessons I learned through observing and spending time with a bunch of wonderful people.
