Collage #4/Journal Page

I hope this counts as a collage, as I did do cutting and gluing. It is from my visual journal though. I had to document the death of Michael Jackson and how the Universe connected me with some old friends from 27 years ago!

Marley and Me

Just watched the movie Marley and Me tonight. So sad at the end, but such a cute movie!

Always . . .

Just a friendly reminder to ALWAYS SAVE YOUR WORK as you go! It really sucks to create something, then have it suddenly disappear due to a computer error!!!!!!

Collage #3

Many Voices-My New Favorite Bookseller and Coffee House!!!!

Finally got to visit Many Voices book store and coffee shop. I've been waiting nearly 2 years for it to reopen!!!

This is the image painted on the bathroom wall. It is the owner's mother. So cool!

You can't look into this mirror without thinking something good about yourself!

Check out the toilet decor!

I love this message on the wall next to the strong woman image.

Here is a corner of diverse books and treasures from various cultures.

Oh yeah, it's also a yarn shop!

Beautiful colors!

And it sells the yarn I just bought in Wisconsin at an independent bookstore! I'm so excited!

This image is outside the shop.

Collage #2

Photo collage #1

Here is my first collage created for Lynn's 10 day collage challenge.

10 Day Collage Challenge

I am so excited to participate in Lynn Fisher's 10 Day Collage Challenge. I will be posting a collage hopefully tonight.
On my mind right now:
hummingbird at the feeder
photo collage from my weekend using Photoshop
paint and magazine images with some paper scraps here and there

What would you like to make tonight?

Computers and Applications

Why do I bother to mess with my computer??!! I worked on uploading photos today, and somehow that took up much of my day!! I tried a new program this evening called pixelpipe. Hopefully it won't ruin my computer or anything. So, with pixelpipe, I can upload photos from my iPhoto, then have them directly posted to my blog or to flickr or to facebook. Pretty crazy, eh? So the two random photos you see in the previous post were uploaded via pixelpipe. It sounds like a really cool idea, but right now I don't quite understand it all! Also, suddenly my internet connection went "caput" after downloading photo applications! I guess that's all of my ranting for now, as I am back on the internet!

Day of the Dead Altered Book Images

Here are some photos from the recent altered book pages I did for Karen's Day of the Dead book. I loved the theme. I had a lot of fun with it.

This is Karen's cover. Isn't it great?

A Few Self-Portraits

Yesterday it was 80 degrees and sunny. It was gorgeous outside. I got a pile of books and my journal, too, then sat outside to enjoy the sun. I grabbed my camera and took a few self-portraits.

ART CARS & City Shots

So the other night when I went to the art opening, the art show started outside of the gallery with these art cars! They were so fun to see. I also enjoyed taking a few shots of the city while I was downtown. Hope you enjoy!

It's a magical VW car decorated with faeries and mushrooms!

Check out all of this stuff!

I love the words ART CAR on this one.

My mom liked this tiled car the best.

A Seriously Good ART Attack!

Here are some pics from the Art Opening I attended tonight. Barbara Gilhooly is extremely talented! It was also soooo fun being out and about in the city!
